Tracing coaxial cable to the correct outlet.
Today I will show you a simple way to find coaxial cables and their terminations inside of your house. Materials used are a multi meter with continuity setting, knife, or razor blade for stripping wire, tape, paper, labels, and a marker. No fancy techniques just common sense.

Intex Easy Set Pool Eminent Failure
Просмотров 1,3 тыс.2 года назад
In the Video you will see the beginning of the deterioration of the inflatable ring on my Intex Easy Set pool. I’m assuming UV rays are the culprit. I have treated the ring with a UV protectant but it does not seem to be working. This pool is 2 years old and will most likely make it 1 more season until the ring is too brittle.
Intex hose alternative (Cheap!)

I decided not to spend $51 on the filter hose for my sand pro 50 D filter. This is the solution I came up with and it works great. The best part… $14.

Intex Easy Set Pool demolition!
Просмотров 3 тыс.4 года назад
Our pool has been up for 3 years and wouldn’t make it another season. The inflatable ring was very brittle and starting to crack. I didn’t really have a plan for my escape from the water. I thought I would have more time to get away. Unfortunately I am not as light in my feet anymore. Enjoy!

While on vacation in Gulf Shores, I rented and airplane and found a CFI to do some flying with. Always wanted to visit Dauphin Island so we did a quick touch-n-go. I sort of 'plopped" the plane down on landing. Had a small audience on the left side of the strip on final. Warrior 8410C out of Jack Edwards (KJKA) in Gulf Shores, Alabama.

Ours did the same thing up here in New England and our sun is not nearly as strong as the Texas sun. It seamed to cause micro leaks in the ring. We couldn't locate them but it also wouldn't hold air for very long. We also get a max of 3 years before replacement is needed. I wish Intex would chime in here. Pretty good video BTW :-)
Yes. The longest I could make one of these pools last was 3 years.
We must have the same builders😂. Great video, straight to the point. Very clear and simple. Many thx from UK
Where did you get the attachment for the hose to connect to the pool?
Planning on using 4r9 for one of my stops on my xc. Any tips?
Land during the daytime if possible! Lol. And don’t use that clapped out plane I used.
Intex makes sand filters too.
Is there any robot vaccum that will work with this pool?
What's the point of this when the pool already has two drain plugs on the bottom.
Where did you set up you pump?
Can you please tell me the name of where to buy the blue attachment you showed, the connector between the hose of the sweeper and the strainer on the pool wall.
Where can I buy this hose.? Nothing I do works .
I’m pretty sure I just got that hose at Lowe’s or Home Depot.
Fxddhhjdhnfh😊😢😢😅
Could you connect the vacuum hose directly to the filter?
Absolutely but its a little more work in my opinion. But it would be just as effective.
Thank you, those ribbed pool hoses are a robbery and in the sun they don't last more than about 4 years. With the transparent hose I'd be a little worried about algae buildup, but I suspected there must be an alternative out there.
does your pool totally freeze? i am in ontario canada and had to keep my easy set up last winter as the ring was shot and it was fine till about two weeks ago (coming into our spring) and the pool height has dropped from shoulder height to waist height :( trying to find anyone who has winter this pool and if this is common and will repair itself or its done?
I never had the pool totally freeze. I kept the pump running over the coldest parts of our winters down here ( much more mild than yours I’m sure). There aren’t many options once the ring is kaput.
@@TheRandykiser it seems the pools that are winterized here, or in a totally freeze area, have the framing. its just odd as i used pool noodles to fill the ring to give some bouency for the summer and it worked. even without the ring, the pool stood, water holding up. it stood proper all summer and into winter till recent,, now dropped, squated out.
You played good today just make sure to firm your corners make the Aperture smaller and blow faster air
You are the best, babe!
*100% best **Generater.Systems** I have used. A test for hurricane prep here in Louisiana: three AC units, 5000, 5000 & 8000, 3 fridges, 2 device power setups, 4 flat screens....AND I had 40% of the power meter to spare.*
Need a link to the hose please.
Randy I have the Game pro 50d sand filter, and I kind of notice it not working anymore because it will throw the dirt that I vacuum back into the pool somehow. Like the sand does not keep the dirt in the filter, and I also noticed that the pressure gauge stays on the same number it never rises above the same number indicating it is time to backwash. It used to work fine when I first bought it it would collect all the trash not throwing it back in the pool the gauge would rise and then I would backwash and I would see the dirty water come out. Any idea what my problem could be sir?.
I had a similar problem. I tried to do an extra long backwash and it didn’t help so I changed my sand for new and it fixed the problem. Over time the filter starts to “channel” the sand and it clumps together so backwashing becomes ineffective. Give some new sand a try.
@@TheRandykiser thanks for the reply Randy, and that sounds like the exact problem makes a whole lot of sense thanks bud have a great day!.👍
Thanks for the video! Pleassseee HELP! I recently bought this same setup from someone. But I’m not sure if I seem to be missing a piece or two? Also I’m not understanding where my pool hoses are supposed to connect with this? Happy to share photos, if your ok with leaving an email address 😬 Kids are crazy HOT 🥵 And i’m losing my mind trying to get this set up.😭 I’d greatly appreciate it. Thanks so much! 🙏🏼
did you make the deck?
Howdy fellow Texan!, just bought the same pump yesterday but not setup yet. Glad I found your video.
Hi. Thanks for this video. I appreciate the idea. Just a quick question: Did you just connect it directly to the threaded part of the filter and clamp it or did you put any kind of pvc pipe?
Thank you, I'm used to a big pool and my husband is new to the pool world, I tried to show him, obviously you did a better job explaining it to him!!
Like the idea but have no suction with the filter set to Waste but I have plenty with the filter set to Filter, I have a 2100 GPH setup.
Is this pump water proof? It’s going to be sitting right next to the pool and getting splashed on and is outside all the time so I just wanted to know how you’re dealing with that.
This filter has been sitting under my deck for about six years with no issues from water. I’m pretty sure all filters can withstand water splashing on them. I mean, they do get rained on.
$170 6 years ago Today is $450
I saw that!! But It’s still going strong after 6 years of almost continuous use.
Yup, paid $400 here in NJ at Leslie’s Pool 🤦🏽♂️
@@ifran77 : WELCOME TO THE CLUB!!! 😆 😅 😂 🤣😆 😅 😂 🤣
Hi great video we are first timers at the pool thing we we bought the same filter as you my question is did you buy the motor or pump trying to figure out that and the grounding part as well so we don’t get electrical shock is that why you are talking about the conduit
I purchased the unit as a whole with the filter pump/ motor included. The plug is connected to a larger gauge extension cord with ground and plugged into a GFI receptacle. There is a grounding lug on the metal housing of the motor and I recommend using it. Looks like it would accommodate about a 6 gauge wire. I do not have mine grounded from the lug and have not for the 6+ years it’s been in service but I will correct that asap.
@@TheRandykiser thank you for your help and the informative video super helpful
Man spent hundreds of dollars for a $80 pool and still had to rig his own system up. Gotta love America.
I also have the same pool. The pool cover that came with it did just as you said....it would just sink into the pool so it was useless. But now I need another cover and they don't even sell our size pool at Intex!!! What else can you do? Make one? And if so, what would be the best items to use? Need My Pool in Arizona!! 👍🌵🙂
Thank you so much for your videos! We are having our 18' x 48" Intex Easy Set delivered next Wednesday and I am so anxious about setup (our first pool ever). Did you make any videos of the setup?
No I didn’t. But I can tell you I used a sod cutter to remove the grass, then I used a yard of sand to level the surface under the pool. I drove a stake in the center of the sand surface and drug a weighted board with a level attached to smooth the surface, and kicked sand into low spots along the way. There are videos from other people who have done this, and it works. Good luck!
I'm in Australia and laughing at how we have the same challenges with the same products. Why one of these pool companies does simply make a 2 way switch into the pump puzzles me. They would sell a bunch easy.
Thank you so much for easy step by step 😄👍🏼👍🏼
I have an above ground pool and want to know how to hook up the vacuum and vacuum the pool with out loosing water
Where do you live as I’m curious what your winters are like to keep the pool up.
I’m in East Texas and it was difficult last winter. We had a major sub-zero snow event and I had that thing on life support for days. I ran the pump 24/7 and used pipe insulation on the plastic lines. Normally it’s not a big deal. I keep it covered and check the chemical levels about once a month.
what size is the sleeve width.
Great Job!
Bro just put the sponge or Styropol Bottom
I just had to replace the same hose today- I used a portion of the vacuum hose since I had extra hose. It fit perfectly!
Whatever works!
I cannot get the gasket to come free. Any tricks you used. It’s pretty seized up
The “O” ring gasket inside the twist off cap? You might try a little gentle heat. Leave it in the sun for a while if even use a heat gun or hair dryer to warm it up. Be careful not to melt it!
@@TheRandykiser sorry it was the black valve. I’ll try and leave it in the sun today. If not I’ll bring out the heat gun.
This video was EXACTLY what I needed!! Thank you! I’ve been having such a time with our pool this year & I thought I was going to have to get a whole new 4 way valve, that was nowhere to be found. Thank you again for sharing!
It was exactly what I expected it to be🌼 allabout.wiki/Intex-Easy l Size, etc. However, the cost was pretty high for the item but with it being impossible to find blow up pools anywhere I had to bite the bullet

How was your pool this year? I have always taken mine down each year. This is a great video, curious what your pool looked like after removing tarp.
Not going to lie, it was the worst it’s ever been. Algae on the bottom. Had to double shock, scrub, vacuum and use nuclear weapons to bring it back. Took 3 days but it’s great again.
Only video I’ve found on this! Thanks from Massachusetts
What is the diameter of the tubes?
The pvc is 3/4”. The hoses are 1 1/4” which fit the outer diameter of the 3/4” pvc fittings.
What did you put underneath cover to lift the one side? Also, how did it do over the winter? Didn't think you could winterize a inflatable pool. Interested in how it worked. Thanks for sharing.
I used the ladder that came with the pool for the center support. The pool did fine over the winter. We had a historic snow, ice, and below zero event here in my part of the world. I ran the pump 24 hours a day for about a week until temperatures got above freezing. When I uncovered the pool this year everything was green but I had it cleaned up in a couple of days. The pool seems to be in good shape.
@@TheRandykiser thank you for the info!!
Thank you! Mine didn’t come with any of those “plugs”. I could not figure out how the vacuum would have enough suction with both intakes hoses open. You showed me exactly what needed to be done. Thank you !
You are very welcome! Thanks for watching and for the kind comments!
Do you recall the size of the stainless steel hose clamps? Thanks for the great video.
I don’t remember but they have to fit a 1 1/4” diameter hose.
3/4 to 1-3/4 I believe, I just bought some Thurs
